Rancho del Lago Bed and Breakfast

RANCHO DEL LAGO sits nestled in the quaint countryside of McDade, Texas – approximately 35 miles east of Austin and 41 miles from the Circuit of the Americas™. This bed and breakfast is located on a working ranch, specializing in producing the pure Spanish Andalusian (Pura Raza Española), Andalusian Crosses, and the Peruvian Paso horses.

Our gazebo and small bridge area, located on top  of a rolling hill, has been used for birthday celebrations,  weddings, quinceañeras, and other special occasions. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the gazebo! A pool and hot tub, located on a hilltop adjacent to the main house,  offer seasonal enjoyment. Our ranch includes wildlife which consider it home.  Photo opportunities with magnificent uncluttered vistas and horses abound.  The property sits on a sugar sand hill so hiking and driving around the property even after a rain is no a problem.  Riding lessons are available at an additional charge.

(Sleeps 2 people) Queen bed, table with 4 chairs, DVD player, WiFi,

snack area with sink, microwave, refrigerator and private bathroom with shower.  Central heat/ air and ceiling fan offer year round comfort.

(Sleeps 4 people) Queen bed and Queen sleeper sofa with memory foam mattress. The English Suite is tastefully decorated with hunting scenes and flowers.  Includes a private bath with tub and shower, open living room and dining area, full kitchen with refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave and sink. Central heat/air and ceiling fans. DVD player and WiFi.

(Sleeps 2 people) Every spring the Foal Watch Room, located in a corner of the stable, is bustling with excitement and great expectations!  Furnished with two twin beds (a trundle bed) and comfy seating, the room offers closed circuit TV of two foaling stalls. Private bathroom with shower. Air conditioned, DVD, refrigerator, microwave, WiFi.

(Sleeps 2 people): The French Room is in the main house and is furnished with French antiques from chateaus near Paris.  It has a private bath (tub and shower) and a coffee station.  Breakfast and afternoon snacks are served in the main house, so this is convenient.  Everything – including the bed – is antique, so the bed is a full, rather than a queen. It has a carved headboard and footboard, which is only a problem if guests are very tall!

(Sleeps 6-8): Pristine trailer sleeps 6 comfortably but can accommodate as many as 8 people. This one bathroom trailer is on the property so guests can use the pool, hot tub, and enjoy the Ranch’s breakfast and snacks.

Foal Watch Room (sleeps 2 people):  $85/ Nt. + Tax
Stall for visitor’s horse: $12/Nt.  All visiting horses MUST be current on shots, worming & bring a current Coggins. Owner to bring hay, feed, & buckets.  Pet fee ($35 per stay “clean up” fee)
